With my Portuguese and Italian ancestors, a South African childhood, and  family bonds in Australia, I suppose I am in many ways a  cosmopolitan.Today I  live in Denmark , but before settling in Copenhagen,  I studied in the USA obtaining a Ph.D and Post Doctorate in  Clinical  Neuropsychology. I've worked at the University of Copenhagen at the Center for Rehabilitation of Brain Injury and currently I'm Programme Director for Psychology at The Danish Institute for Study Abroad.

I have always drawn and painted, and have been tutored privately and at art schools in South Africa, California, USA and Denmark,  trained in using  pastels, watercolours and acrylics. My initial training (over a period of 6 years, from the age of 14)  was in  realism but with continued training and experimentation, I seem to have shifted to a more symbolistic orientation.  In some ways, both my psychological and cross cultural background have influenced this transition.
